Food Lion ranks in the top five out of 156 retailers measured in the J. D. Power 2014 U.S. Customer Satisfaction StudySM. The study, conducted among customers who purchased appliances, electronics and vehicles between November 2013 and October 2014, measures satisfaction with customer service, product quality and price among six categories of retail businesses: department stores, supermarkets, drugstores, specialty stores (jewelers, furniture, etc.), mass merchants (including Wal-Mart) and online retailers.
In overall satisfaction with retail experiences in the U.S., Food Lion ranks fifth out of 56 retailers measured (see charts). Overall satisfaction is highest with service (among those surveyed who rated their experience), followed by product quality and then price.
